Writing is a dream come true for me. Reading was something that helped me escape unpleasant things in life. Being able to blog about books that transport me to different times and places, well that's another dream come true.
Exceptional
The Black Eagle Inn is a fabulously written story about family dynamics. Germany's history post World War II is front and center in this story which shows the trials of a family that owns a country inn and farm. The family and the country deal with the acceptance of homosexuality in such a way that you will remember this story for a very long time.
As is his style, Christoph handles the topic with dignity and class.
